Not what you were expecting? To be frank, neither was I.
Admittedly, it’s not the most traditional route for a career to take. But, early in our marriage, my husband and I began buying and selling properties. It became a fun (and rather time consuming) hobby – nearly every year we’d buy, fix and flip a house with hopes of climbing the property ladder.
And, truthfully, we did.
But, I also found something I didn’t expect – my calling.
And so, shortly after my second child was born, I left my job as a dietitian and began my journey as a REALTOR® myself.
When I stepped into my new role, it unlocked a passion for me to serve others in new and highly attentive ways. Ways in which, perhaps, other REALTORS® hadn’t thought of.
As someone who’d walked through more showings and closings than the average client, I found myself in an unique position to be able to approach my work as a REALTOR® from the “flip side” of the table.
I knew exactly how I wanted to be treated as a client, because I’d been a client so many times before.
And so, I set out to hone my service from that perspective – and I never looked back.
And then, I dial in my service and my expectations from my team members from there.
It wasn’t until I became a REALTOR® that I really felt like I “hit my stride” in my career. Sure, I was a new mom, and I was entering the realm of real estate from another vantage point – but once I commit to something, my foot is on the gas.
I went full throttle into serving my clients. Because, to me, just dabbling or giving half-baked efforts is never an option.
It’s a rewarding career on all spheres. And the consistent efforts I’ve shown my clients throughout the years has grown my business to what it is today. I relish serving others from a place of fun, bright energy and bringing creative solutions to the table all backed by years of experience.
This life and business we’ve built is nothing short of a dream come true. And now, it’s my joy and honour to bring others into the mix to help me serve with the same energy and drive. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride, and I can’t wait to see it continue to grow.
Together, we’re high-energy and big into sports. We always elect for the gift of an experience; which usually means a spontaneous cross-country trip to see the Blue Jays in Toronto, or tickets to a Miami Dolphins game, wherever they’re playing.
When I’m not at the helm of my real estate business, I’m hanging out with my husband, Travis and my two sons Brooks (10) and Davis (9) – most likely on a variety of sports fields or in the stands of an arena.

However, when the pandemic reared its head in the event space, it became clear I needed a job that would both allow me to maintain flexibility, and serve others in a smaller sphere, and use the skills I was able to develop as an entrepreneur. I began working with Amy Dewaele and the South Rock Real Estate Group in April of 2022.
Now, I get to lean into my strengths alongside a team of women I trust and respect. I’m able to do this, all the while making time for the people in my life I love and cherish the most – my family – and it’s made all the difference.
My role as a wife and mother is far more than a small detail of my life – it’s the big picture.
It’s all about the details.
When it comes to Real Estate, it’s the little touches that make the most impact.
It’s about being precise. Measured. Calculated. And serving clients with the utmost focus and from a posture of anticipating their needs.
This is where I’ve found my footing in the real estate industry. Because numbers, data entry, and keeping clients informed through every twist and curve of a transaction?
That’s where I thrive.
Attention to detail is no small thing. And, thankfully, it’s within those details, where I get to channel my focus in my work with South Rock Real Estate Group.
After a long stint working for “the man” and bigger corporate companies in insurance, I grew frustrated with the industry’s lack of personal connection. In 2018, I struck out on my own and began my very own special event photo booth business, KMN Events Co.
the challenge of multitasking and get to lean into my strengths as an extrovert.
On top of my professional responsibilities, I’m a wife, a mother of four kids and five “fur babies,” and enjoy taking on various home renovation projects.
Some may look at my life and responsibilities from the outside and sense a feeling of overwhelm, but I believe we are truly limitless, and it’s with this attitude I approach everything in my life.
While I’m not a musician myself, I enjoy singing at the top of my lungs at concerts (bonus points for John Mayer) and various music festivals, like Coachella. My ultimate goal is to have my very own TedTalk. My topic of choice? Encouraging others to lean into their giftings and live their best lives, apart from tragedy or difficult personal circumstances that have a way of finding us all.
And, as the future unfolds, I look forward to continuing harnessing my skills as a communicator and as a creative in my work with South Rock Real Estate Group – and lifting up others along the way.
There’s nothing like the power of the written word.
Through writing and creating, you have the opportunity to influence. To inspire greatness in others and, in my case, do work that excites and energizes you. I find that fulfillment in my role as Social Media Manager & Marketing Specialist with Amy Dewaele and the South Rock Real Estate Group.
Here, I get to lean into my strengths as the team’s content creator, serving as the “wizard” working behind the curtain. It’s fun to add creative flair to home listings and social media posts; and I relish painting pictures with words and capturing a home’s essence visually as I sit at the helm of all things content for our team.
What’s more, I get to do work out “in the field,” and my time behind a desk is limited – nearly nonexistent – which is a non-negotiable as a multi-tasker and a woman who enjoys staying on the go.
After all, to me, boredom is a “curse.” And in my many lines of work, I’m never bored. On top of my role with the South Rock Real Estate Group, I also serve as an senior administrator in a local elementary school. There, I enjoy
That feeling only deepened when I met my husband, Mike, and we settled into our own townhouse here in South Surrey. This beautiful area has become such a special part of our lives as we raise our kids, Ellie (9) and Zac (6). We’ve created so many cherished memories here, from mornings at the rink or the soccer field to spending sunny weekends at White Rock beach. Every corner feels like home, and I can’t imagine a better place to be.
In many ways, I’m a “social homebody”—I love a cozy night in with my family just as much as I love hosting friends and filling our home with laughter. Whether it’s tackling a home project my dad would be proud of, or planning our next renovation, I’m always hands-on, creating a home that reflects who we are. For me, a home isn’t just walls and windows; it’s where the heart of our lives takes shape.
Now, I’m thrilled to bring that same energy and dedication to helping my clients. I understand that finding the right home goes beyond the square footage or number of rooms—it’s about finding the place that just feels right. That’s why I’m here to support you every step of the way, working to understand what truly makes you feel at home and finding the space that reflects that vision.
I began my real estate journey during the quiet of the COVID-19 lockdown—a time that led so many of us to rethink what truly mattered. For me, it brought a clear realization: helping people find their homes was a passion I couldn’t set aside.
In my 20s, while friends were busy finding apartments all over the Lower Mainland, I’d jump in to help them explore neighborhoods and find just the right fit. It was more than a casual interest; I loved the process of discovering what made each area unique and seeing friends light up when they found the place that felt like “the one.” Those early experiences planted the seed for my love of real estate and taught me the deep value in helping others find spaces that feel like home.
I pursued that calling through a series of roles. Property management gave me a good foundation in real estate—but I found the work a bit too routine for my liking. I missed the chance to connect deeply with people, to walk alongside them in such a personal decision. Human Resources offered that connection, allowing me to help others reach career goals, but my heart wasn’t fully in it. I kept feeling that gentle nudge toward real estate, toward helping people find more than just a house, but a place where they could truly feel at home.
